Ode to Loratadine

With eyes, vacant.
With ears, obstructed.
Aware of nothing
But the pressure inside.

With nostrils, unbreathing.
With tongue, as Sahara.
We long for our lungs
To fill as they ought.

The world, it derails us.
The air, it assails us.
We know only one thing
Assured to relieve us.

Carry yourself away,
To drug store or grocery.
O, my dear Pharmacy!
Give me my…

Claritin D!

Hello, Lover...
a friend indeed
