an ugly masterpiece

Broken of soul

We stumble through life.

Shattered in spirit

Trip over the pieces.

Fragile of mind

We ache for peace.

Shredded by sin

We need redemption.

Torn of heart

We hide in the corner.

Fixing each other,

Destroying ourselves.

Not knowing

But giving the answers.

Be strong

We hear.

Be okay

We try.

We’re meant for each other

Never an island.

We live among.

We die among.

Counsel is for the broken

Not one of us is whole.

Stop being perfect

There’s no such thing.

We pass the disease

By being alive.

We treat the disease

By sharing our life.

Run, don’t walk

To the ear of love.

Tangible proof

Of hope.

He gave some an ear

While He gave His blood.

He gave you a voice

To make others whole.

Live and let live

Is a stupid line.

Be up in the business

Of your people.

It’s a command:

Share and care.

It’s what He did.

Do it for me.

If you can.

I’ll do it for you.

If I can.

Open your heart

We’re all broken

I am too, you know.

Stop the blaming.

The one who hurt you

Needs help too.

Eve picked the fruit.

Adam ate the fruit.

Sin eats us.

Death eats us.

Jesus ate  death.

We’re on earth.

Like a camping ground.

My tent’s next to yours.

Crawl in with me for warmth.

In heaven we’re healed

When He says it’s time.

If you decide,

You’re healed,

We’re not.

I will bruise you.

You will cut me.

We’re human.

But we love.

And we heal.

“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you.” (2 Corinthians 4:7-12)

Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.  (James 5:16)

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.  (Galatians 6:2)

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:10)

I rock. I also paper and scissors.
